Question Who Do You think are the Best Registrars and Worst Registrars and Why?

I'm interested, in what you guys think - the expense is a big concern but they need to super safe and easy to use also

I will start off, my favourite is Namecheap because the prices are quite low, for example I think a .co renewal is about $10 cheaper than Godaddy! and privacy is about $2.99 v's about $6.99 on godaddy. Also I find the dashboard really easy to use.
My least favourite is probably name.com because i find it awkward to use

My favourite has to be Gandi. I really like their "no bullshit" slogan because it's very true. But Google Domains is also quite good.

I have heard a lot about Godaddy as well. Have you used them personally as well?

I would say namecheap are the best as I find them very easy to deal with and prices are low

yes I have used them a lot, mainly for convenience though since many clients and domain sellers and buyers have Godaddy as their registrar.
I havent tested it exhaustively but I think that they are expensive though ( depending on the domain type) for example renewing a .co domain was at least $12 more than Namecheap, - that pissed me off so I started moving lots of domains away from GD. Privacy is far more expensive on GD too.
I know that there are probably cheaper registrars but Namecheap is a pro outfit, easy to use and reliable - plus you can keep a balance on your account so less chance of losing a domain if you forget a payment method expired.

Porkbun - is a contender too, very fair pricing and good interface - just watch out as I have heard stories that they rip you off on 2nd year renewals of some of the GTLD's - which is a shame because price and trust are key for domain registrars.

Also as yet no "Account Funds Balance" feature they need to sort that out - Porkbun are you listening?
