Can many 301 redirects harm SEO

    Hello,

I am in the process of changing my Wordpress website to another CMS that a team is developing for me.
I want to use this opportunity to also change a part of my website structure to make it more clear and to improve SEO; let me expain:
My website is in Vietnamese, so I give an example in English.
My eCommerce pages are now domain.com/travel-singapore, but they need to change to /tour-singapore.
And like this I have more or less 100 other destinations. So this means I have to redirect 100 pages to their new url.

Can so many redirects harm SEO and page ranking?

301 redirect is the most efficient and Search Engine Friendly method for webpage redirection. It's not that hard to implement and it should preserve your search engine rankings for that particular page. If you have to change file names or move pages around, it's the safest option. The code "301" is interpreted as "moved permanently".
