    Clicks refers to the number of times people have clicked an ad or a search result while impression is the total number of times a particular ad or search result appeared on the screen of the users.

    Impressions are credited when your post appears on a page a person searching for information receives. A click is credited when the person searching sees your post anc clicks it. Hence clicks will always be significantly less than impressions.

    Ad Clicks, or simply Clicks, is a marketing metric that counts the number of times users have clicked on a digital advertisement to reach an online property. Ad Impressions (IMPR) is a count of the total number of times digital advertisements display on someone's screen within the publisher's network.

    Both of this terms are related to payed advertising.
    Click, as the name says by itself, is when someone has clicked on your ad, no matter is it a banner, crafted ad or any other ad. You will pay per click (PPC advertising).
    Impression is simply visibility; how many times your ad has been exposed to, what we call, the right eye-balls, or your targeted buyer audience. But, in this case, you don't seek for sale but impression, you want something, an ad but not necessarily, to be seen. So you will pay to for example Instagram just for the impressions, to make your offer exposed, to raise your brand popularity or spread the awareness of your brand and so forth.
